Ambassadors and advocates for Uganda’s 2.4 million orphans, Spirit of Uganda presents an exciting and uplifting program of traditional East African music, song, and dance. These outstanding young performers, aged eight to 18, combine drums and other percussion instruments, stirring call-and-response vocals, vibrant and colorful traditional costumes, and dramatic choreography to such stunning effect that Newsday calls the ensemble “transformative.”
